Bernd Fischer (mathematician) : ウィキペディア英語版 | Bernd Fischer (mathematician)
Bernd Fischer (born 1936) is a German mathematician. He is best known to his contributions to the classification of finite simple groups, and he discovered several of the sporadic groups: he introduced 3-transposition groups and constructed the three Fischer groups, described the Baby Monster and computed its character table, and predicted the existence of the monster group. He did his PhD in 1963 at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University of Frankfurt am Main under the direction of Reinhold Baer.〔(The Mathematics Genealogy Project - Bernd Fischer )〕 ==Notes== 〔
